# ANURA Connect **Part Number:** 70016 ## Overview ANURA Connect is a free mobile app that lets you start measuring vibrations in minutes with a single VS10-C wireless sensor. It connects directly to the sensor over Bluetooth Low Energy—no transceiver, gateway, or subscription required—and displays real-time waveforms, FFTs, and orbit plots on your phone. The app is designed for quick, single-point diagnostics: field diagnostics, commissioning, spot checks, machine evaluations, maintenance rounds, and FAT/SAT (Factory and Site Acceptance Testing). ### App ::::{grid} 2 :gutter: 3 :::{grid-item-card} ANURA Connect :img-top: images/anura-connect-icon.png :img-alt: ANURA Connect app icon, a three-way arrow (X/Y/Z axes) on an orange background. Part Number: 70016 ::: :::: ## Supported Platforms ANURA Connect is available as a free download for iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). ## Key Features - **Real-time visualization** - waveforms, FFTs, and orbit plots displayed instantly on your phone - **Single-sensor connection** - connects directly to one VS10-C over Bluetooth Low Energy - **Photo and note attachment** - attach a photo and notes to a recording for traceability - **Share as .vibe files** - export recordings to share (e.g. via email), in a format compatible with Vibreshark - **Battery and connection status** - live sensor battery level and connection state ## Getting Started 1. **Install ANURA Connect** from the App Store or Google Play 2. **Activate the sensor node** - press and release the power button until the LED turns green 3. **Place the sensor** - install it level on the vibrating equipment. Use a spirit level and aim for 0° install angle, particularly important if measuring stroke angle 4. **Connect the sensor** - open ANURA Connect and connect to the VS10 sensor 5. **Record data** - place the sensor, start recording, and point your phone at the sensor with a note on what you're measuring. Attach a photo if you like 6. **Share the recording** - share the resulting `.vibe` file, along with a note on what screen and position was measured ```{tip} Name recordings clearly, keep notes of measurement points, and use photos for traceability—especially if you plan to revisit the same measurement point later. ``` ## Fixed Measurement Configuration Unlike Vibreshark, ANURA Connect does not allow you to customize the sensor's sampling settings. On every connection, it automatically writes and applies a fixed configuration to the sensor: continuous sampling at 1024 Hz across all three axes, with a health status report every 60 seconds. ```{note} Because this configuration is written to the sensor's persistent settings on every connection, reconnecting the same VS10-C to Vibreshark afterward will start from ANURA Connect's fixed configuration rather than defaults. See the [VS10-C Vibration Sensor](../vibration-sensors/vs10-c.md) page for the full set of configurable parameters. ``` ## ANURA Connect vs. Vibreshark For most spot-check and field diagnostic work, ANURA Connect's simplicity is by design—it trades off configurability for a fast, single-sensor mobile workflow. For more advanced measurement scenarios, Vibreshark (Basic or Advanced) supports connecting up to 8 time-synchronized sensors via a TR11-USB transceiver, configurable sampling parameters, velocity/displacement waveforms and orbit plots, and firmware updates. :::{list-table} :header-rows: 1 * - Feature - ANURA Connect - Vibreshark Basic - Vibreshark Advanced * - Sensor measurements - 1 sensor - 1 sensor (computer's built-in Bluetooth) - 8 sensors (requires TR11-USB for time synchronization) * - Waveform, acceleration - 2 dimensions - 3 dimensions - 3 dimensions * - Waveform, velocity / displacement - No - 3 dimensions - 3 dimensions * - Orbit plot, acceleration - 2 dimensions - 3 dimensions - 3 dimensions * - Orbit plot, velocity / displacement / fitted ellipse - No - 3 dimensions - 3 dimensions * - Aggregated values (short table) - Yes - Yes - Yes * - Aggregated values (long table: stroke length/angle, RMS, phase) - No - Yes - Yes * - Screen RPM / Hz calculation - Yes - Yes - Yes * - Fourier transform (FFT) plots - Yes - Yes - Yes * - Export / Save - .vibe - .vibe, CSV - .vibe, CSV * - Configurable sample rate, snippet duration and interval - No - Yes - Yes * - Sensor firmware updates - No - Yes - Yes * - Language support - Whatever the phone supports - German, English, Japanese, Swedish - German, English, Japanese, Swedish ::: A Vibreshark license key is required (including for the free Basic tier)—see [revibeenergy.com/vibreshark](https://revibeenergy.com/vibreshark/) to request one. ## Product Care - Do not drop, throw, or subject the sensor to excessive force - In dusty environments, consider covering the sensor's USB-C charging port with a piece of tape when not charging—it is waterproof, but dust can cause problems with the connector over time ## Related Documentation - [VS10-C Vibration Sensor](../vibration-sensors/vs10-c.md) - The wireless sensor used with ANURA Connect - [TR11-USB Transceiver](../sensor-bridges/tr11-usb.md) - Multi-sensor USB transceiver used with Vibreshark
